I introduced myself on the main board, but thought I’d do likewise in the region’s sub. I live in Madison and have inherited an ‘87 Elky from my dad. He and my mom are moving in with my brother and can’t take it with them. He bought it about 4 years ago and soon developed health issues so he hasn’t been in it much.
Last year I’d go out a week at a time each month and, when weather permitted,I made sure that he and I took it for every mundane errand or hit up every cruise in that we could.
It’s a 305 with 46k miles. They move at the end of March so I plan to store it in OH until May and then drive it home to Madison. I’m looking forward to tinkering with it. For the last 10 years I’ve only got to play with cars that could also serve family duty with Volvo wagons begging my platform of choice. My last GM toy (just a few years ago, 1995) was an ‘88 S-10 that I swapped a TPI 406 sbc into.
