I introduced myself on the main board, but thought I’d do likewise in the region’s sub. I live in Madison and have inherited an ‘87 Elky from my dad. He and my mom are moving in with my brother and can’t take it with them. He bought it about 4 years ago and soon developed health issues so he hasn’t been in it much.
Last year I’d go out a week at a time each month and, when weather permitted,I made sure that he and I took it for every mundane errand or hit up every cruise in that we could.

It’s a 305 with 46k miles. They move at the end of March so I plan to store it in OH until May and then drive it home to Madison. I’m looking forward to tinkering with it. For the last 10 years I’ve only got to play with cars that could also serve family duty with Volvo wagons begging my platform of choice. My last GM toy (just a few years ago, 1995) was an ‘88 S-10 that I swapped a TPI 406 sbc into.

Looking forward to learning from you all.
Below is a pic from last Father’s Day as my dad and youngest son were on their way to a local cruise in.

Very nice ride. Welcome from a member from Wesley Chapel, FL. Our El Camino members are always willing to share their experiences with most everything you will want to do to your pride and joy. Hopefully you will get to meet others in your area who share the love of El Camino. We hope that at some point you will come out to one of your regions “get togethers” and meet likeminded Camino fans. Good to see what others have done to their ride whether it is a work in progress, show car or a daily driver. We welcome all.
