I replaced all my dash lights 3 months ago and I checked the fuses
the turn and the bright indicator lights still work just not the rest any ideas
thanks jeffk
your dash lites are powered from the tail light circuit and given thier ground from the reastat in the headlight switch. they did this to alert you you had no tail lites. if your tail lite fuse is good look at your headlight switch

My 82 has a INST fuse location in the fuse panel. My dash lights were out when I bought car, INST fuse location was empty. Put a fuse, 5 amp, as I recall and they worked.
Was the 82 wired differently than what you are describing? or is there an additional fuse after the tail light fuse that goes to the dash lights?
some have a seperate fuse but the system is the same. not all cars will have the dash lite fuse but chevy has been wireing them that way as long as i can remember
