My Elky is an 83 305 Auto. It doesn't kick down when I step down hard. Where is the first place to look? I've searched and read several threads about kick down cables and kick down solenoids - still looking.

Could just be the cable isnt adjusted properly. After my motor swap, I spent two days trying to get mine to work. Finally I thought something was messed up with the trans so I took it to a guy here in town to have him look at it. It took him 15 seconds to adjust the cable and re position it a litttle and its shifted perfectly since then. Some people just have the touch I guess?
