We need some members to step up! If we can get a few cars there we can park as a club up front where all the action is.
C'mon NY, NJ, and CT members it's real easy to get to. Take I 95 North or South to the Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

Or Hutchinson River Parkway North or South to Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

Spend a great day at a huge show over 1000 cars, trucks, bikes... vendors, parts, food, etc...

Then finish the day with a great meal at any of the great restaurants on City Island. It's as close as NYC gets to a New England nautical village. Plenty of great seafood, italian, french, japanese steak house, etc, etc.
For those on a budget, there are 2 great pier restaurants at the end of the island with a fast food menu but plenty of seating outside on the pier overlooking the Long Island Sound.

I'd like to make arrangemets with the show coordinators to get a NECOA section up front but I need a head count.

BTW, don't be intimidated by The Bronx! It's not Jimmy Carter's Bronx anymore!! You don't drive through any rough neighborhoods. It's off the highway through a park lined with Police. Orchard Beach is less than a 1/2 mile off either I 95 or the Hutch. There's plenty of police (NYPD) at the the show. The show is a benefit for widows and children of 9/11. There's also plenty of police on City Island. The only thing you'd need to be afraid of is getting caught for a DUI.

Update on the show. Over 2400 cars!!! Countless bikes. Plus trucks. Easily 2500+ The 50/50 was over $2500.00!!
Of those 2400 cars only 5 el caminos including mine. There were 2 rancheros. As far as I know none of them got a trophy.
I think we picked up at least one new member. An 80 elky owner named Mike. His is a work in progress and he was excited to learn of the club/forum and sources for parts. He had a 454 with a turbo 400 and 4:11 posi rear.
There was a 5th Gen Camaro club that brought over 75 cars to the show! Yeah not a big fan of new taking over shows but it made me think if we could get a few together and go as a club.
I'll try to post some pics later.
