I know the name of almost every engine part on my Camino. Yet I cannot figure out what this is for.

It's on the intake manifold below the carb. To be honest I never noticed it before, and I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't recently pulled the carb off to install new gaskets and a spacer. Never really looked at the intake before. Anyone knw what it is or what it's for?

Why would they go and do a retarded thing like that? I wonder if anyone has tried using it to inject more air into the intake after the carb? Hmmm....
