my 78 elkys driver side 2 button switch is giv ing me trouble.the passenger side switch works fine. the drivers side window goes up fine but you have to wiggle the switch to get the drivers window to go down.anyone know how to get the swith out easily

Pull the upper door panel, there should be a blue retainer on the back of the switch that unscrews and carefully remove the connector. Then sqeeze the 2 tabs on the back the switch will come out the front.
The metal tabs inside the connector commonly get worn and break also but they can be found online.

you should be able to release the retainer tabs with a pocket screwdriver.then pull out of the door panel ,without removeing the door panel.about the midle of the front and rear ends of the switch bezel,stich the small screwdriver in and push you should feel it push the retainer clip in and the end of the bezel pop out slightly.do the same in the other end and it should pull out
