To those of you Elky owners who also get around on two wheels, I'm needing a little hauling advice. I'm a new rider, having recently acquired a Harley Sportster. While I had a dirt bike years ago and hauled that in my Elky, the Harley is my first street bike. Anyhow, I was wondering about the do's and don'ts of hauling a street bike in an Elky. As the potential for an expensive mistake is great, I'd just rather get some advice on the subject first.

What is the best way to secure the bike in the bed? (in a 3rd gen, BTW) Specifically, what kind of tie downs, and what mounting points do you use? Also, what about the tailgate cables? Can they handle the weight of loading a bike?

I hauled my CH a few times to Florida for bike week. I installed eyebolts through da bed and frame. Tailgate cables are fine. Load bike on angle, put it in gear, and use cable straps to da eyebolts. :bigups:
