This has probably been asked a 1,000 times. I'll be building a big block for my '72 which unfortunately has a 8.2" 10 bolt rear end, not the ideal match. 12-bolt rears are hard to find and very expensive. 10-bolt 8.5" rears can easily be build to handle a BBC. What donor vehicle are compatible with the '72? I don't mind changing trailing arms to maintain proper pinion angle. Will '95/96 caprice axles work? (I put one in my '78 Camaro, but modified the axle from tailing arm to leaf spring). Or later El-Camino axles? Finding early 8.5" application specific rears are hard to find as well.
