Should I just submit to the patina ??

Water Atmosphere Liquid Black Automotive tire
Automotive lighting Hood Automotive tire Car Motor vehicle

I gave her hood 4 x Meguires Old #7 baths. once I left it on for 30hrs, then clay bar cleaned & cleared up an earlier heavy water stain.

A second wind blown water stain arrives late July.
Two full bottles of Meguires Old #7 smothered the hood, this time & then I clay bar rubbed the entire hood 5 times
& I tried Chemical Guys Hard Water Spots Remover. It pulled some of the wind burn, but not all. (But I can see where the Chemical Guys Hard Water Spots Remover cleaned the stain and now I gotta do the entire hood.)

Last night I kicked it up, while still doing as little corrosive damage as possible to paint.
I hand applied Meguires Number 2 Fine Cut Cleaner & then lightly buffed with my 6inch orbital polisher.
Had to stop & wash out paint, twice,
but damn stain was still there, as I gave up at 5AM.

Should I just submit to the patina ??

Or anybody got new ideas to remove this wind burn water stain without cutting too deep into clean 45yr old Light Blue Lacquer #28 ?

I'm outta ideas unless I hit it harder with the Meguires #2 & buff harder? Worried about paint depth. My electronic paint depth meter says its shallow.

Maybe you will just have to live with the patina. Hope not. Keep us posted
