Hey guys

Just compared these 2 pics of the elky

Look at the linkage, do you see the slack that is in pic 2 and 3 but not in 1??

Its the little beeded chain.

Do you guys know why there is a difference in a year?? And what caused it???

Tranny kickdown is attached behind where your spring attaches, looks to me like the cruise control linkage, if so probably no big deal as it works on vacuum and will pull until it meets the right length..

Oh okay thanks,, cruise doesnt even work i may remove it.

I was worried that something was goin bad, cause at first i was thinkin it was the tranny kickdown.:beer:

If you're taking about the ball-chain, that's your cruise control. It does wear; that's why it's adjustable. It should just be a little loose when you turn off the engine hot and let it cool down. Check it with the ignition off, and without touching the throttle; that will make sure it's not on the high-idle cam.
