What would cause oil to come out of the spark plug hole. Ive got oil all over the head and plug

I too have oil on my spark plugs n I think it's from bad piston rings. Don't quote me on that, the real engine guys will let us know soon I hope.

bad seals will usually "puff" when you start, rings probably would be more frequent.....

Spin thats what i was thinking idk how many miles cuz the guy said it has a freshly rebuilt 355 but we all know that could b b.s pulled valve covers off and all push rods springs everything looks fresh but i guess ill have to tear it apart to c

Are you saying there's oil on the tip of the plug when you remove it, or on the top of the plug while it's still in the engine? If the latter, a leaking valve cover is the hot bet.

before a teardown do a compression test or leak down test..

could also be a leaking/bad intake gasket,,sucking oil in the cylinder,,
on a fresh motor,, retorq the intake after a few heat cycles..

x2--oil on the outside of the head,,check the valve cover gaskets,,
how is the pcv/crankcase vent setup??:texas:
