I have a 1986 el camino with 3:73 and a turbo 350 trans and i need to find a speedometer gear for that. I looked around and they had different numbers of teeth and im not sure what one i need. Im tired of using my speedometer app for my phone lol

what is the size on your rear tires i have a few gm speedo gear charts and can look them up but i need the rear tire size

the tires are 255/60 r 15 thanks a lot

the gears i get from the chart is a 15 tooth gray drive and a 45 tooth lt blu driven.this is for a 26.1 in tire and your is 27. so you may need to go with the 43 tooth gear to get exact. each tooth on the drive changes it 5 mph and every tooth on the driven changes it 3 mph all of this is asumeing you have the large speedo gear housing

first,you should go out and have a friend ,with a accurate speedo follow you,see how far yours is off, you might need to change the drive gear and the driven gear. this web site will help you chose the right gears .
