I have a new thermostat, new temp sender, push/pull electric fans, and the temp gauge reads all the way over past hot. The fans don't kick on UNTIL the gauge goes back in temp (thermostat opens), then it climbs back up. I've checked with a laser temp gauge, and it reads less than 200*. Am I to assume (yeah, really bad word) that the gauge is bad?

So the gauge reads hot.........are you actually overheating?
Can you see or hear evidence that you are infact overheating?
Gauge MAY be incorrect if all checks out ok...........

Not a grounding issue. Have two straps from block to chassis to frame.
