The 250C is a junk light weight tranny,, the 3rd gear clutch drum only has 3 plates and disc in it if I remeber right,, I trashed one thinking it was a 350 turbo,, and of course the wife was driving it when it went,, so I swaped it out with a 350 turbo and tore the 250 apart,, to me anyway a big difference inside the two,, check with Mike at Mikes trannys as well,, Matty man
The 250c is a decent trans if taken care of.
The main difference being the 250c is a lock up
And as you know the 350 is just a 3 speed trans no lock up.
Start abusing that 250c and a trans swap is on the way.:texas:
I've been abusing my 350c for a while now but of course I had mine built to take up to 700hp. That's a hp range I won't see anytime soon. All I can say is go with a 350 and take care of it because that and the 400 are the last ones you'll see failing
