ok so i've seen an awful lot aout torque converters with 2000rpm stall, up to 3500 stall...i THINK i have an understanding of what they do but with my understanding it'd be better to just get a 2000, which are cheaper, though i supposeyour max power would help depend on it too..

anyways, basically the stall determines what rpm your engine and tranny "lock up" together, instead of just using flinging fluids....is this correct? or am i totally wrong, is this a reccomended mod, I'm guessing the tranny needs to be dropped to do this?

You're guessing correctly..the torque convertor is mounted between the flexplate/flywheel and the tranny...

To determine the correct stall it would be helpful to know your engine and drivetrain spec.'s
