trying to find out the correct parts needed for my 1985 - 305 v8 ? prefer ac delco but like recommendations. are the correct plugs r43 or r45 ? suggestions for wires,cap and rotor. on a budget and its my daily driver. thankyou for any suggestions !!! have a great summer !

the higher the number the hotter the plug burns. I run ac delco they work fine for my needs as far as a stock motor daily driver

good morning thankyou ! i was planning on using the 45s but i seen somewhere where the 43s were original.

I used the R45TS ! I bought AC Delco cap,rotor, plugs,plug wires from rockauto.com !
Great prices !!

I always use ACDelco/GM parts when servicing my vehicles.....its easy cause they are all GM

I run autolite #25 plugs gapped @.045 and accell cap coil and dizzy
with msd guts cheers:beer:

I run autolites just like woody, always seemed to get the best performance out of my Chevys with autolite platinums

AC R25TS is the stock plug. The R43s are for the high compression engines like the 302, some 327s, 350-350HP, etc. They had 10.5:1, 11.0:1, and 11.5:1 compression ratios. If yours is stock, it probably has 8.5:1 or 9:1 CR.

thanks everyone, engine is stock 305 with quadrajet.emissions is unhooked but ecm is still in control !!
