You can go to 235/60 15 if the wheel backspace is 4" or slightly less. Read my tire fitment sticky for more detailed info.

Yes, a 275/60 works fine, but as I mention in the sticky, backspace is critical, as clearance is tight on both sides of the tire.

Would a 15x8 and 4.25 backspacing work with 275/60/15 ?

It would be worth a try if that's as close as you can come to 4". You may need a 1/8" to 1/4" spacer at the worst. You will definitely need to relocate the taillight wiring harness from the outside of the left frame rail to the top of the rail.
