Hi:

Restoring 1968 SS El Camino.

I am looking for some insight on getting high quality complete door panels and seat covers. I orderd the door panels from NPD and they were from a company called www.PUI.cc. The quality according to me is lacking. Can anybody tell me from their experience, who makes correct interior parts??

Thanks.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm in the same boat. Need new panels and I've heard that the PUI ones aren't that great. Anyone know who makes the best? Thank you

I ordered door panels for my '68 from Eckeler's, and got Chevelle panels. Chevelle hardtop panels won't fit because Elco panels are notched at the rear for the window frame. And the Chevelle lock knob grommets are farther forward. Eckler's doesn't know the difference but still charged me a restocking fee when I returned them. I ordered another set from Legendary Auto Interiors and am waiting for them to be made (in the USA). Whoever you order from, make sure they know the difference between Chevelle and El Camino panels.
