I have a 1987 El Camino.

So I decided to adjust the wiper arm by pulling the arm off the base and adjusting the arm so it would fully lie inside the hood. I discovered that the bases accept the arms only one way ( I sure miss the old vehicles! ).

My question is " How " does the arms adjust? My wipers don't sit against the rests when turned off, and sit above the hood line. They work great however, they do need to rest against the stop when off and be somewhat hidden for a better look.

Thoughts? Are these adjusted via the arm mount on the motor?

Might be a problem with the wiper motor park circuit. Does the wiper motor sound like it is trying to pull the wipers down when they are shut off ? ...

My 86 has a ball and socket with two 3/8" nuts in the linkage on the driver side. I had to adjust mine to get wipers to park below the hood line.
