the wires to the side of the transmission connector should be
for the Lock-up Torq-converter..
should be 2 wires,, power probly from Brake Lite Switch,,
and ground, but the ground could be internal..
.
the Signal Generator is usually something you have to add to make the cruise work
on older cars without the VSS signal from the speedometer or computer..
.
the Grey wire from the Cruise control box is not used with a
Signal Generator, it says you use the connector J from the Cruise Box,,
there signal generator has the same connector, probly a 2wire connector..

The speedometer cable goes to transmission. On the end of the cable there's a device that reads the speed and sends it to the cruise control panel. I would like to know how I can connect the cruise control to the torque converter and get rid of the toggle switch, I'm using to control it. If you know a way to accomplish this, it would be much appreciated.

usually there are pressure switches on the valve body for 3rd and/or just 4th gear,
depending on how its wired up in the pan..
even with the toggle switch it could still be automatic..
.
do a drive test
see if it un-locks at a stop sign, with the switch on ??
the 3rd or 4th gear switch or the brake switch should un-lock it...
at cruise speed you should be able to feel it or see it on the tach,
it should un-lock just touching the brake/switch..
.
or some people use
vacuum switches,
or
aftermarket lock-up controllers too..
.
I think TrannyMike had a wiring setup for a external pressure switch,
on the pressure test port on the case..
.
ill look at the Rostra instructions again and see if it has
any switched outputs..

Thanks JJ. Right now I have to have the toggle switch off until it gets over 30 mph or it won't run well. When I slow down under 35 I have to turn it to off, or it runs terrible.

there is a output, but
I have no idea how many wheat lamps or high impedance'sss there are in a gallon of electricity..
i'll look for the TrannyMike post..
.
from the instructions

"" H.
Orange Enable Output
(ENO) Wire
The ENO Function allows you to use the GlobalCruise
as a driver for an external wheatlamp connected to a V+.
The ENO Wire will drive low when the system is
engaged and to a high impedance state otherwise.
This wire terminates in the harness. ""

200-4R Lockup Instructions
.
yea if yours is on all the time, the external pressure switch is the easy-est
way to go..
screw the switch in, and cut the power wire at the trans, hook it to the switch..

Thanks JJ. I understand on this site it won't work. I'll try checking out off the web and see what happens.
