I have an 86 and now when I turn the dial on the interior lights at night( to see the console and speedometer) the hazard lights come on (only on the inside ) and the fuel meter drops to empty. Any ideas of the problem? I have checked the relays and replaced a headlight recently. Could I have fried something?:banghead:

You might start by checking the ground connections. Just about everything on the dash goes to a ground screw. It should be on the bottom Left near the brake and hood release.

X2 on the grounds. It is always the grounds. Check the ground at the lights and relays if you touched any of them as they are easiest to check, then the battery to body ground strap (actually take them off, clean the ends and sheet metal and reinstall), then start digging under the dash.
