87 elcamino firing order

I have heard stories about the firing order for the 87 4.3's. i have gathered the firing order is 165432 that is the easy part. i need to know where the plug wires go. and wich way the firing order goes clockwise or counter clockwise cause i have been told both. I would appreciate the help -Jason

Chevy engines have the #1 plug on the front left most spot.

Left side is 1,3,5 (Driver's side)
right is 2,4,6 (From the front.)

firing order

Here is a hint on the rotation of the distributor, Remove the dist. cap and bump over the engine to see which direction it turns. To find out which one is #1 on the cap is to follow the #1 plug wire back to the cap. #1 is found on the left front of the engine.
