so many problems.............. where to begin? I bought an 87 el camino 4.3 liter fuel injected v6 off a kid at my firehouse for 300 bucks. i have had it for about a month and a half and have been using it as a daily driver for the time being. the car was very neglected i decreased the engine the other day,later that night really rough idle to the point where it felt like it was gonna stall out service engine soon light goes on periodically, when i shift from park to anything, each gear i shift to the rpm's go up. there is also a problem that happened before but has gotten worse, when i floor it it just sputters like its not getting enough airor something and then takes off. anything will be better than were i am at now!!!!!!! please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you got water in some of the sensors, particularly the throttle position sensor. you might use a little WD40 on electrical connections, and even pop the dist cap and spray some in there also.-
