torque at ride height

got a question about "ride height" so you can torque your control arms. what they are really saying is to support the spindle/hub/rotor so that the sprung weight is on the components, I don't need to actually have the wheels back on, do I. it seems that to get it right you need the weight supported by jack stands at the hub. read that if you don't do this you open yourself up to squeaks from your bushings... can someone clue me in?

yea, I think you got it..
you want the suspension loaded, the normal weight of the car on the springs,
close to normal ride height, when you torque the control arm bushing bolts..

if you torq them when the c-arms are all the way down,
it will twist the rubber in the bushings when the arms come up to normal, might tear them up..:texas:
